Presentation
The commune of Saint Paul en Chablais, capital of the "R'zule". The whole village of Saint-Paul-en-Chablais is mobilized to prepare this day, in the pure Haute-Savoyarde tradition.
Rissoles with a shovel and a frying pan:
This day is organized several weeks in advance, thanks to the participation of 50 volunteers, schoolchildren in extracurricular activities and members of Saint-Paul-en-Chablais associations, who are mobilized to make 17,000 rissoles this year.
Visitors will be able to taste the little turnovers on the spot, and take away several boxes containing raw, baked, wood-fired or pan-fried rissoles, depending on their tastes...
This year's highlights :
- Musical entertainment:
The "Bandastico", a festive brass band of 6 musicians, will charm visitors with the brassy sounds of their instruments, to the rhythms of funk, soul and even zouk.

The "Chants Poulans" from 1:30 p.m., in the Salle de la Gavotine, with their repertoire of traditional songs, for a moment of alpine song sharing.
The "Jardin des Sons" choir and its 60 singers revisit French variety from 3pm.
- Farmers' market:
An all-day market will feature 40 local producers and craftspeople, showcasing their home-made products and offering a wide range of choices for end-of-year menus: cheesemakers, chocolatiers, bakers, winemakers, but also ideas for filling Santa's sack, wooden games, books, pyrography, pastels and jewelry, to give just a foretaste of the gifts to be found at the foot of the tree!
- Rissoles contests:
The village of Saint -Paul- en -chablais has been organizing rissole contests for 10 years, with children, bridegrooms of the year and mothers taking part in past editions. This year, the competition will feature schoolchildren and pastry chefs, with pupils aged 10 presenting their rissoles.
Then, at around 11 a.m., the "Les élus à la casserole!
A meal of the famous still-cooked diots served with polente, always eagerly awaited by visitors.
To crown this 10th edition :
Le Fournil du Chablais will create meters of rissole, never seen before! A real technical feat, both in the creation of the mould and in the production of the generous fricot, swaddled in the metre of dough... something never seen before!
Cuisine d'autrefois exhibition: this exhibition is an opportunity to rediscover the world of old-time cooking, the "pêle d'antan", pots, pans, utensils and crockery on loan from René Ducret, a passionate collector of local heritage.
