Châtel is offering 4 days of entertainment for children, with a show every evening! The theme of this year's festival is ‘Around the World Olympics’, with a host of activities on the church square and even at Lake Vonnes.

There is one day in the summer when the whole village and its guests come together to celebrate the village festival, "La Saint Laurent", named after the patron saint of the parish.

Before the Belle Dimanche, the shepherds fest, a market will take place in the centre of the village.

The Belle Dimanche is one of the oldest traditionnal Savoyard festival.
It honours the shepherds and their animals, but also traditional craftsmanship, to the delight of all.

During a whole weekend, Châtel will be delighted to host the 1st French Gravel Championships. This championship is open to everyone, with or without a licence.

Father Xmas arrives in Châtel !!! Father Xmas knows very well the route to Châtel, coming from so far away from Rovaniemi, his village in Lapland, travelling by a horse-drawn carriage.

The traditional torchlight descent is back in Châtel, with a charity event open to all : "Les p'tits flambeaux".

Rendez-vous in the early evening at the chapel of Plaine Dranse for the blessing of the skiers followed by a torchlight descent. Traditional music and mulled wine and hot apple juice offered to all.
