Presentation

This winter, we’re celebrating our official birthday on Saturday 17 January 2015!
50th anniversary celebration: Saturday 17th January

From a dream to reality: in 1964, at the Lausanne Exhibition, a handful of forward-thinking individuals unveiled details of the first international ski area. France and Switzerland would unite to become the future Portes du Soleil ski area.
50 years later and every single one of the links on the early plans have come into being...and there's more news to come...

This winter, we're celebrating our official birthday on Saturday 17 January 2015!

Programme:

- From 11am to 3pm: Head for the Lindarets

- 4.30pm: Giant torchlight descent in Morzine

- 6pm: Happy 50th Party in Morzine tourist office square

Join in the festivities. Follow our ski guides!

Come along to theLindarets, a legendary venue in Les portes du Soleil.
We'll be offering free aperitifs from 11am. There'll be music, photo souvenirs in a 1950s style cable car, food, souvenirs and goodies...in short, lots of reasons to come!

To find your way even more easily, ski instructors (ESS and ESF) are joining in the fun by offering free guiding on the day. Places are limited however, so please book at your nearest ski school.

Giant torchlight descent to bring a fitting end to the day's festivities:

Meet at 4.30pm by the Pleney cable car bottom station in Morzine to take part in a giant torchlight descent, supervised by ESF and ESS ski instructors.

Happy Fifty Party !

From 6pm, meet at the bottom of the special slope that ends in Morzine Tourist Office square to celebrate our "50 years young" in style!
