An emblematic site of Châtel since its creation fifty years ago, the Vonnes lake will be the subject of a complete redevelopment during the year 2023.
The programme has two major aims: to enhance the natural environment around which the site is organised and to perpetuate its appeal to visitors by giving it a new dynamism. The definition phase of these developments was developed through a consultation of the inhabitants carried out in 2021 which compiled more than 810 participations. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you once again for this significant response.
The work will begin in May 2023 with the aim of being completed by the end of that year. The phasing of the work will involve closing off parts of the site, keeping the main access on the Vonnes road open in July and August. Nevertheless, certain activities such as fishing or access to the playgrounds will not be open during this year, which is exceptionally dedicated to the restructuring of the site.
