On Saturday June 28, 2025, on the occasion of the Journées du Patrimoine de Pays, the Abbey and the Maison du Fromage Abondance invite you on an unhurried exploration of the village of Abondance.

Discover wood, the emblematic resource of our valley, and unravel its mysteries on a fun, interactive trail.

Equipped with a map, an adventurer's notebook and a bag full of surprises, embark on a captivating quest. At each stage, games and challenges await you, and hidden clues will lead you to the final enigma.

Location

From the shores of Lake Geneva, access via RD22 or detour via Plateau de Gavot (depending on season), towards Vallée d'Abondance (approx.40 min).

Free parking, electric recharging points, bicycle parking.

Entrance to the site is at Place de l'abbatiale, in the heart of the village.
Access to the church is independent (no visits during services).

On foot: from the village center, walk to Place de l'Abbatiale along the “Montée du Cloître” past the town hall and presbytery, then under the porch. The entrance to the site, located on the square, is a little further up on the right.

Parking available at the entrance or in the village center.

Served by EVA'D line C during school vacations.
