Epicureans and hiking enthusiasts will be in Morgins this summer for this much-appreciated flagship event!
On this gourmet stroll through the magnificent natural setting of the Vallon de They, you'll discover the region's natural and culinary riches. To add to the fun, live bands will be on hand at tasting stands.
8 Gourmet stands to discover during the walk:
> Breakfast, offered by the Fécon mountain pasture.
> Assiette valaisanne, served by Saveurs Dents du Midi - A glass of wine of your choice: Fendant or Gamay AOC Valais.
> Aperitif sauvage & gourmand, served by Nature en Conscience
> Raclette de nos alpages, with cheeses from the Onnaz and Lapisa mountain pastures - Choice of wine: Viognier or Fendant AOC Valais
> Cold soup from They, prepared by the restaurant Agritourisme du Vieux They - A glass of wine: selection of the moment
> Roasted skewer, pepper sauce and röstis, cooked by Aimé Bellon and Saveurs Dents du Midi - A glass of wine: Amalgame AOC Valais
> Plateau de fromages de la vallée, proposed by l'alpage de Tovassière - A glass of wine of your choice: Gamay or Rosé AOC Valais
> 100% natural, homemade ice cream from L'Atelier Givré - Choice of wine and digestif: Rosé or Gamay AOC Valais, Génépi or Gentiane de Champéry
Recommended equipment:
- Walking shoes and clothing, cap, sun cream, sunglasses.
Practical information:
- Registration closes on Tuesday, August 12 at 5:00 pm.
- Some products tasted during the walk will be available for sale on site (payment by cash).
- Easy walk of about 10km
- Musical entertainment at some stands
- The Fischli family, winegrowers and winemakers in Morgins, will be offering tastings of their delicious wines, and mineral water will also be served during the walk.
- A refreshment stand will be set up at the end of the tour (closing time 6 p.m.).
- In the event of bad weather, participants will be notified by e-mail the day before if the event is maintained or cancelled.
