- LA CONGRÉGATION D'ABONDANCE: LE MAILLAGE D'UN TERRITOIRE' Cloister of the Abbey of Abondance: Theme 2024 “Heritage of itineraries, links and connections”.
At its height in the 13th century, the influence of the Abbey of Abondance extended far beyond the valley. Abbeys, priories and other dependencies maintained close links with Abondance. From the Chablais to Aosta, from the Jura to the Swiss Valais, Arnaud Delerce and Jean-Marc Kuntz offer us a historical and photographic look at these places, more or less distant but linked by a common religious past.
Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 September - 9.30am to 12pm and 2pm to 6pm
- NICE ET SAVOIE, UN REGARD CONTEMPORAIN’ SALLE DE L'ATELIER: Through the eyes of photographer François Deladerrière, discover the evolution of the landscapes of Savoie, Haute-Savoie and Alpes-Maritimes since 1860. A journey through time, with vintage lithographs and contemporary photographs.
Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 September - 9.30am to 12pm and 2pm to 6pm
- ABONDANCE AU FIL DU FESTIVAL DES PEINTRES’ ABBEY GALLERY :
In this exhibition, discover the works of painters, both amateur and professional, who have been transforming the village of Abondance into a place for artistic practice for several years now.
A look back at the painters' festival and a journey through heritage, architecture, traditions and landscapes.
Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 September - 9.30am to 12pm and 2pm to 6pm
> MUSICAL WALK by Marie Begaix & Alizée Morand: Accompanied by a saxophone duo, we offer you an immersive tour of Abondance Abbey. To the rhythm of haunting melodies, you'll explore the Abbey's emblematic sites while discovering its rich and varied history. At each stop, you'll plunge into the past of this historic site and learn more about the history of music. A sensory and educational experience that will give you a new perspective on the Abbey.
