Presentation

The penultimate qualifying event for the UCI Gravel World Championships, the Alpine Gravel Challenge will take place in the Dents du Midi region on Sunday, September 8, 2024.
This is the very first edition of the TREK UCI Gravel World Series to be held on a cross-border territory, in this case the Portes du Soleil, straddling Switzerland and France.

Riders will compete on the Haute Cime, Forteresse or Cathédrale courses, in tribute to the famous Dents du Midi massif, which will be the backdrop for the day's action.

Course information:
- 3 challenging and varied courses (100km, 70km or 30km), almost entirely off-road, using the best gravel tracks available.
- The 30km course is designed as a popular race with no categories or rankings, unlike the 100km and 70km courses which offer participants in certain categories the chance to qualify for the 2024 World Gravel Championships.
- Starting from the town of Monthey and the village of Champéry, the discovery of the spectacular scenery of the Portes du Soleil promises to be grandiose!

Practical information:
- Food and beverage stands and specialized services for cycling enthusiasts will be set up at the Grand-Paradis in Champéry
