Dranse riverside trail: for walkers and cyclists! This trail which runs along the riverside from Très-les-Pierres to Abondance is nearly 16 km long and accessible to everyone: families, sporty types, children and pushchairs.
The path is signposted with wooden water drops signs, with texts about water and environment. The topics are water, essential element for life on earth, ground water, water in altitude, oceans, effect of water, lakes, peat bogs, rivers, and rain.
With this path you’ll discover wonderful sceneries and learn more about fauna and flora, mountain surroundings. On your way, you’ll appreciate the geography and the Abondance valley shape in an arc of a circle with in its middle the “pyramid” of Mont-de-Grange.
The Rivari Trail, named after Châtel's little mascot, is a fun walk that teaches children about the mountain wildlife through six puzzles in little hands-on workshops along the way.
With this trail you'll discover the mountain birds and particularly those you can see in Châtel, which means about 20 different sorts.
