In March 2012 The Chablais region became a Unesco Global Geopark.
UNESCO Global Geoparks are area where sites and landscapes of international geological significance are managed with a holistic concept of protection, education and sustainable development. A UNESCO Global Geopark uses its geological heritage, in connection with all other aspects of the area’s natural and cultural heritage.
You are invited to discover our emblematic sites, playful activities, guided outings and visitor attractions and experience the riches of the Chablais.
The UNESCO Geopark Chablais is an invitation to change your appreciation of the landscapes and to celebrate the strong links between man and nature. Conservation, education and sustainable development are the key words for our missions.

Local wild life is ever present, in particular on the slopes of Mont-de-Grange thanks to the work done by the local hunt who have turned it into a reserve and make a point of protecting the animals. Who has not dreamed of watching chamois dashing from rock to rock? But you need to be up early to catch them by surprise!
Qualified guides propose frequently guided walks in the heart of the reserve for that aim.
