In 1890, Hutchinson began producing bicycle tyres. In 1909, the brand achieved its first competitive victory with Léon Georget thanks to the monofil tyre. The brand's colours were worn by some of the world's greatest cyclists, who went on to win the Tour de France in particular.
In 2020, Hutchinson celebrated the 130th anniversary of its Cycling Department.
Hutchinson is the only bicycle tyre manufacturer that still makes its products in France.
