The municipality, the ski lift company, the ESF (French Ski School) and the Récréa Forme d'O Group are joining forces to support farmers.
Due to the outbreak of contagious nodular dermatitis (CND) that has affected farms outside our area, the 2025 edition of Belle Dimanche will take place without the traditional presence of livestock, but the rest of the programme will remain unchanged, with an open-air mass, entertainment, craft exhibitors, community food stalls and musical groups.
For this edition of Belle Dimanche, the municipality of Châtel has decided to organise a raffle with its partners, with the first prize (in addition to other prizes) being a week-long winter holiday for four people, including ski passes, ski lessons and access to the Forme d'O aquatic centre. The raffle will open on 17 August, the day of Belle Dimanche, and will close on 30 November. It will be accessible remotely.
In addition, access to the festival, which was previously free, will exceptionally be available at a symbolic price of €1 (via the ski lifts or by bus). All proceeds from these two initiatives will be donated to support the agricultural sector, which has been severely affected by the health crisis in the two Savoie departments. ‘This is our moral and financial contribution to support the agricultural sector, and also to raise public awareness of the seriousness of the situation. Every event in our departments should be committed to this cause, and solidarity should not stop there...’ explains Mayor Nicolas RUBIN.
