After two hundred years of history and human lives, we take a look back at the changes and highlights of Abondance's communal forest: forest stands, harvesting methods, uses ...

Imagine two centuries of human life, during which a common spruce could have observed the whole story. It would be handy to find him and ask for all the information. Failing that, we are fortunate enough to be able to consult the rich archives of the 74 département, the Office national des forêts, and the invaluable testimonies of the farmers, foresters and inhabitants of Abondance.

Forest stands, decline and regeneration, harvesting methods, material use, value, changes in surface area... these are just some of the topics that will be addressed during this conference.

Organized in partnership with the Association pour le Développement Culturel d'Abondance and the Mairie d'Abondance.
